Founded in 2017 in Toronto Canada, Ou & Company is a strategic communications and public relations advisory specialized in cross-border and cross-cultural business and communications. Ou & Company Ltd. offers consulting services in the areas of CEO and C-suite communications, public and media relations, brand management, executive personal branding, and philanthropic giving.
Clients have included Chinese property developer SOHO China, EdTech giant VIPKid, Scotiabank, the Canada China Business Council, women’s professional development platform WeWorkingWomen and Canadian not-for-profit Educating Girls of Rural China.
About the Founder
Ou & Company Founder Ashleigh Au is a trilingual (English, Mandarin, Spanish) communications strategist with over 15 years of international experience.
Ashleigh launched her career as Special Assistant to the CEO at SOHO China, China’s foremost woman entrepreneur. There, Ashleigh directed international public relations and communications for one of China’s largest office property development companies, elevating the Company’s global profile while accumulating extensive experience with international media outlets, as well as leading business conferences and forums.
Since 2014, Ashleigh has served as founding Secretary General of the SOHO China Scholarships, leading the USD $100 million scholarship program to provide financial aid to Chinese students at top international universities including Harvard University, Yale University, and the University of Chicago.
She has served the Beijing Advisory Board to the Canada China Business Council, and currently serves as a Global China Advisor to Canadian not-for-profit G(irls)20, and Executive Director to Educating Girls of Rural China.
A regular public speaker, Ashleigh has acted as Master of Ceremonies and Moderator at Canada and China related events featuring prominent business executive and government officials. She also offers professional development workshops in the areas of Personal Branding for Executives, CEO Branding, and Public Relations, with a focus on women professionals.
Ashleigh holds a BA from the University of Toronto and a Graduate Diploma from the Hopkins Nanjing Center.
